Since you guys have a forum for it....
I did this race last weekend with some other scca guys from Ohio. Cool experience. I ran for 3 hours. Our team ended up in 4th position in GT3 in a BMW Z4 GT3 by slowly gaining positions in the wee hours of the morning and trying to avoid crashes and other stupidity.

Thats awesome, love the setup. I saw this too, would be fun to do an hour or two. How many to a team?

Up to 16. But you don't want that many.

Nice. I would definitely be interested in this next year. Are they doing any other events like this this year?

12 Hours of Sebring, Bathurst 1000, and a 24 Hours of Nurburgring if they get that track done. And maybe 6 Hours of The Glen

I can't wait for the 'ring to be finished. I suspect it will have the highest percentage of DNF drop-outs in the history of sim racing, but it will be cool. I've been messing around with it a bit on Project Cars, but that game is still a bit "arcade-y".

Re: iRacing Daytona 24 Hour
I've been using this to practice for some of the tracks I went to this year and it has been a huge help! The closest vehicle I can find to a Vee is to just run the SRF and only use the first 4 gears. It sure worked! I could have run my first lap at Homestead with my eyes closed, and my times were competitive from the first session. The braking points from the sim to the track were within feet of each other and I saw every landmark and pavement patch from the sim on the actual track! I'm practicing for Daytona right now.
