Re: The Official September 25th Event Thread
I should be there... I was at the March 22nd autocross (my first with CRSCCA) in my 2015 WRX....
Sadly, I don't have the WRX anymore, but I will be rocking my Could-be-a-4x4-because-of-wheel-gap MINI Cooper 3cyl of fury!
(It's a 2016 MINI Cooper Hardtop with stock suspension)
Looking forward to it though!

So... any online pre-registration or is it going to be just on-site?

Re: The Official September 25th Event Thread
Hi all,
Just curious about the live timng results. The display wasn't working, the announcing was intermittent, and my iPhone would not log onto the live timing site for the event, only last year's event at the airport. So I never really knew what each of my times were while at the event.
Anyway when I got home and logged onto the live timing on my desktop, I saw that I only had five times, not six, and three of those were DNF's. I know where I DNF'ed on my first run, but not for run #4 and run #5 which also had times much higher than where I thought I was running. See below:
#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 Best
9 Thomas Simon 2014 Ford Focus ST White 73.824+dnf 70.060+1 69.199 85.403+dnf 81.062+dnf 69.199
Any chance of finding my time for my 6th run and maybe correcting runs #4 & #5 if I really didn't DNF and slow down that much? I'm pretty sure I hit the one of the apex cones (once each lap) in the painfull turn in the far northwest corner, but stayed on course and didn't let up.
Kudos to the Chattnooga crew for finding the new (old) site and putting on a pretty good first event of your season. Now that the first one is out of the way, the next ones will keep getting better.
Seeya,
Tom

Re: The Official September 25th Event Thread
I was working timing when you ran. It was either run three or four where you did not go through the timing lights. We did not get a time for you but was a dnf. Had to delete that entry to get timer straightened out.

Re: The Official September 25th Event Thread
Your last couple DNFs were also at the finish by not going through the timing lights. We caught those in time to have someone at the finish trigger it before next car finished. So those times reflect the time it took to get someone to trigger the finish.

Re: The Official September 25th Event Thread
Greg,
Thanks for the explanation. Thinking back on it, the last couple of runs felt funny at the finish like I wasn't where I was supposed to be. I knew something was wrong, but the "red mist" from the run didn't let me dwell on it to figure out what was wrong. Thanks again for the explanation and sorry that I caused the problem to need a course worker to do the finish trip.
Seeya,

Guess I can post my best run from Sunday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uImZqaxUm94.
Sloppy into the slalom both times. Oh well...first event in 18 months or so.

Re: The Official September 25th Event Thread
Sorry I'm just now getting around to this!
Results are up on the home page, under Schedule 2016.
The event went pretty well.
No surprise that the timing display still wasn't working. I'm not likely to look in to it much more until after the December event.
Hopefully we can draw some more people for the next event and have an announcer.
The live timing thing is hopefully sorted out. I had never set up an event in the computer from scratch before and missed a thing or 2 but got it figured out.
Thanks to everyone that came out, it was fun to get to do this thing again.
