Productive meeting Thursday night Feb. 8, 2018. We voted on and adopted a points system for the 2018 autocross championship. We are reducing the number of classes and using pax times. Patrick White will be the 2018 pointskeeper. Here's a brief summary, more details will be on the web site soon:

1. The AutoX Championship will use the CRSCCA Points System to calculate year-end points to determine CRSCCA AutoX Champion per each Class Category. The AutoX Championship Season will consist of scheduled CRSCCA AutoX Events for the calendar year (current season as planned will be eight (8) CRSCCA AutoX Events). The Class Categories will be Pro, Novice, Street, Street Touring, Street Prepared, Street Modified, Prepared-Modified, and Karting (Adult/Junior) as defined by the SCCA Solo/Autocross Rule Book (Current Published Edition). The finishing place in each group will be calculated by a specified PAX index being applied to raw time of the quickest timed run per official competition event. Competitors are responsible for correctly classifying their vehicle as defined by the SCCA Solo/Autocross Rule Book. We’ll have people on hand to help if you’re in doubt about class.

2. The CRSSCA Points System is as follows:
a. 1st Place = 20 Points
b. 2nd Place = 16
c. 3rd Place = 13
d. 4th Place - 11
e. 5th Place = 10
f. 6th Place = 9
g. 7th Place = 8
h. 8th Place = 7
i. 9th Place = 6
j. 10th Place = 5
k. 11th Place through Remaining Finishing Positions receive 4 Points
