Van Issues

Post by shaggybob » Thu Mar 02, 2017 9:08 am

Probably the best news, Cho thinks the van is probably timing chain related as his research indicates that the symptoms match and is going to dig in to it as well. He is also good with keeping the van and trailer at his house which is free. Thanks Cho!

To update a discussion from this week's meeting, the 6.8 V-10 is an interference engine, so if the chains are the problem (or we think they are), don't drive it.

I have some special tools used for holding the cams and crank in place while replacing the timing chains on a mod motor, in case we need them for the van.
